It's nice to meet you Sissy2. Being a care giver is challenging for sure. My mom passed 11 years now but feels like yesterday. I am trying to find myself and date. Wow at 60 I'm in the dating pool. Life is so strange sometimes. It would be nice to find someone to share and work together to be the best that we can be.

My job at the time was as a Patient Advocate so i was very good at being the person who dealt with Drs and made sure everything that needed to happen did it was a real gift to have that time. The day before I was to go home to take care of her for her transplant i was told my kidneys were at 25% function.

Hi, I'm not currently caring for anyone. I would fly up yo Portland every time my Mommo had surgery. My Father is a LPN and my Twin Sister was a CNA not they could not deal with her being sick. She was a Hospice Case Manager before she had to retire due to dialysis.

Hi I’m 62 and was a caregiver to my husband for six years after a stroke and he also had a transplant which I was his donor back in 2005. I didn’t know what to do after he was gone because the caregiving was for so long that’s who I was but I’m now happy to worry about myself . Unfortunately my son will be having major surgery next month and I will be a caregiver again at least there is an end to this one they said recovery sbout a year. I also watch out for my 90 year old Mom who lives by herself. She is mostly ok but doesn’t drive any more. Her choice! So I trust her to tell me when she needs me or things … I can always use someone to talk to too!
