I haven't gone to therapy since December. I've been putting off making the appointment because its too hard. Why is such a simple thing so difficult. 😟

    What part of it is hard for you? Getting the motivation to pick up the phone and make the appointment or actually going to it...? I have trouble with both and usually wait until the very last minute until I almost out of my medication and that's for seriously like a 5 minute video call with my doctor to get a refill for my zoloft

      I do the exact same when it comes to my therapist, although they don't do telehealth any more.

      both but going to the appointment or having it (video appts) is the hardest.

    do you have a friend or family member you feel safe asking to help? my bestie has trouble w phone calls so i always offer to make the call for them. maybe somebody can do that for you?

    Unfortunately I hate making any call and my girlfriend refuses to call and order anything so I get stuck doing it, I always pray there is a online ordering option

    Sounds like it would benefit you to get set up where you could manage appointments and meds differently. How do you feel about email? Or using a pharmacy app? There are absolutely options yo accommodate your needs - please use them!

      for my psych office I have to call to make appts. There's an online system but its quite unreliable so it is not used.

    December is my anniversary of my first attempt and going back to therapy. I feel like that’s why i saw this post and you can do it i promise. It was very difficult for me to even pick up the phone and call and the worst part was they told me I’d be getting an intern not my old therapist. But honestly i still go till this day and I’m not sure of your arrangements but I find having a regular time to visit on the same day helps me a lot. What also helps me is preparing for the phone call and setting a specific time in which I should call. Have your information you’d need ready right by you or even written on your phone and it helps a lot. Even till this day I struggle making phone calls and sometimes I even stutter which is super embarrassing but it’s all in my head the other person never comments about it. You got this don’t wory
