My Rheumatologist Appointment Got Cancelled Again

I had a follow up appointment set up with my Rheumatologist for Aug 1st. That appt was canceled two weeks before my appt and I had to reschedule. Last night I received a text from my provider telling me my appt with the rheumatologist for next month has once again been cancelled. I will be calling Monday morning to get a reason why they keep cancelling. Has anyone been through this? I have Kaiser as my insurance provider. I haven't seen my Rheumatologist since March. He had me go to Dermatology first to rule out any allergies concerning my Eczema.

When I was really suffering badly from fibro, doctors had no idea what to do to help. My first instinct is that they don't understand, feel inadequate and don't know how to help you.

I see a pain specialist for fibro. Rheumatologist that my neurologist suggested wouldn’t see me. I’m glad! I did a fibro program with physical therapy and pain management therapy and manage my symptoms quite well without meds.

*Update* it appears that my Rheumatologist is not on the roster anymore. Called patient services this morning. The representative let me know that he wasn't on the schedule and sent a message to the dept to find out what is going on. She was not pleased that no one contacted me about my Drs absence and kept cancelling my appts. She went through the list of Drs who are out on leave or have left the practice. Fingers crossed Rheumatology calls me back with a back up plan.
