Looking for PMDD Treatment Advice

I would love to hear any suggestions as well. I’m currently on prozac and abilify, but it’s more effective for my anxiety than PMDD. I’m also a bit scared of birth control. PMDD is hard, and I’m wishing you the best!<3

if you’ve just tried one or two antidepressants/birth controls then i would strongly recommend talking to your doctor about a new one. each one will have a different affect on you and they have different effects on different people. my first antidepressant was zoloft and i could not stay away for more than 4 hours a day, but citalopram has been really helpful for me.

I am seeing an endocrinologist in Sept. and have been reading some literature to go in with so hopefully I can contribute soon with an answer!

Following… I’m hoping to find a therapist soon. I can’t take birth control and I’m allergic to so many meds that antidepressants are a gamble.
